Mmmmm... One of my favourite songs. When I first brought this album home, my boyfriend at the time kept putting this song on repeat, and I had to ask him to stop, bc it was going to make me not like it anymore.

Another time, a friend of mine started crying when I played it for him.

It's a great tune. I never did follow-up on RF to see if they got up to anything after this album, tho.

ETA: I didn't know they had been used in an advert. I found out about them bc I used to shop at this awesome little indie record shop, and the shop keeper would put stuff aside for me based on my musical tastes. I got all the killer new hard-to-find tunes by way of this arrangement.

Cool, that reminds me I used to do a "Sunday night blues" post, usually with a gothic/doom song or otherwise melancholy song.

I had a similar thing ging on my early days of LJ membership and I'm still liking the idea very much. When I've finished the Rome Travel Log, I'll take a whack at this ... probably something along the lines of a mixed bag full of music, books, tv episodes, film, fictional characters, etc.

Awesome! I've always loved your song posts! I was contemplating posting at the end of each month on Facebook for people to tell me their favorite song of the month, but never went through with it.

Speaking of songs pulled from an advert, I did the same thing with the song "Lucky Today" by Cloud Cult. I heard it in an E-surance commercial and loved it, so I needed it. <3
