An autumn day in Waggoners Wells.

Today was pretty awesome! :) We slept in until 10am, Ben went and sorted the horses while I sorted the washing, and then we went over to our friend Anne's house where Ben gave her and her lovely mare, Heidi, a lesson. *sigh* I noticed it on my train ride from Stansted to London in September - the landscape looks almost identical to mine up here in northern Germany (except for the chimneys), but you have the much prettier names for places, hands down. Just a random observation... XD

Aww, Heidi is so pretty! Is she a purebred PH or is there some QH blood in her?

I really love learning about place names, they always reveal a lot of history!

Heidi was an import from Ireland, and I think her official breed is just Irish Sporthorse (usually a cross between Thoroughbred and Irish Draught, although I suspect there's probably other bloodlines in her).
