Poll: Blast from the Past

This is silly, but what the heck. ::grin::

It was K's suggestion to ask all of you which was better, "Brady Bunch" or "Partridge Family." (We disagree on this point; see if you can guess which one I liked best before you peek at the answers). So, I thought I'd create a poll, and while I was at it, I figured I'd throw in a few other questions as ( Read more... )

I had a very hard time choosing between All in the Family and M*A*S*H! They were both such great shows! I finally chose AitF, though. I think the Bunkers, especially Archie, had an even greater impact on our society than did the 4077th.

Yeah - I had trouble choosing, too. (I chose the same way you did, btw). I figured I needed to put at least one tough choice in. LOL! :-)

This was the one I found tough, too. Also Sean vs. Parker, since I couldn't stand either one. I should've left it blank.

But The Brady Bunch vs. The Partridge Family . . . my ex and I were on a bit of a BB kick a couple of years ago and decided to tune in The Partridge Family as well, thinking it was pretty much the same thing. No way. The Brady Bunch was SO much better. Yes, it was lame, but the PF was beyond lame. And I'm speaking as a Shirley Jones fan. I just like her better as Marian the Librarian.

One thing the shows had in common was great theme songs.

I loved "All in the Family". They had the guts to say what we all want to say....

Could never stomach the Partridge Family

Laverne and Shirley was a spin off of Happy Days...wouldn't have one without the other.

There was a lot more creativity going on down with Fantasy Island...I remember one fantasy where a chick wanted to back in time to be with William Shakespeare.

"Starsky and Hutch" or "Charlie's Angels"...wasn't into either of them, really, but I picked S & H because, well, I dunno. Personally, I watched "CHIPS"...heh. Oh, yeah...and the A-Team, too! (kudos if you can guess who my fav. character was on the A-Team).

Sean Cassidy or Parker Stevenson? Again, I wasn't into either of them...but in retrospect I think Cassidy was better.

Addams Family was WAY better! Much more dark humor going on down there.

Bugs ROCKS!!! He did thinks which Micky only wished he could. I loved his snappy come-backs. And remember "What's Opera Doc?"

It was hard for me to decide, but I finally choose "All In The Family".

Fun quiz, girlfriend!

I will just say that at this point in the poll, every single one of my answers is in the majority.

But part of that is based on my viewing habits. For example, never really watched: Patridge Family, All in the Family, or Starsky and Hutch.

Old TV... no Nick in my house (at Nite or otherwise), but yeah. The one I had trouble answering was Happy Days or Laverne and Shirley, because I watched both, but HD was on the whole a much better show. Bigger cast and more interesting characters, too.

And while I didn't watch the Addams Family as a kid, only the Munsters, it way outstrips it for sick humour. Though I reserve a soft spot for Fred Gwynne and little Eddie Munster. (No, not together)
