I'm maybe not the best one to answer this question, as I tend not to perspire all that much in general (it takes a LOT of exertion or extreme heat for me to actually break out into a sweat). For me, using this stuff I don't feel any "damper" than usual, but again, that's not necessarily saying much. It's not really supposed to have an antiperspirant effect, although I think the baking soda will go somewhat towards soaking up moisture.

I do remember reading some comments in one of the articles about this, though, and a couple of people said that after using it for a week or two, they noticed that they did seem to be less damp, although the effect didn't happen right away? In the article I linked, there is another link to the place where that author found the recipe originally - check out the comments there; I think that's where you'll find the comments I'm talking about.
