Was your first Philly cheesesteak at Pat's? That's the best place, y'know.

No, not Pat's - I got it from a cart called "Mom's," right across from the Liberty Bell. A cart might sound dodgy, but this place was voted "Best Philly Cheese Steak" recently, AND it was recommended to me by two different people. So, I'm feeling like I probably had at least a decent cheesesteak. ;)

hot press watercolor paper?

The hot press is made with a different process; I think it's actually pressed with a hot machine, instead of a cold one like regular (cold press) paper. The difference is that it's a *lot* smoother in texture than the cold press, so you have a lot more control over the paint. It also means it's a bit less "forgiving," and since most people do watercolor not really caring about crisp edges, the cold press is a lot more popular. Also, the hot press was difficult to find. BUT, now that I have some, I really like it for the sort of stuff I'm doing right now. Very cool. :)

Also, I am still hoping that we can get together before I go - sometime next week, perhaps? I'm just feeling sort of depressed and lethargic (I'm still in my nightgown today, and it's 4.00, if that gives you some idea). I really want to kick this blah feeling, but it's hard sometimes. I just need to pull out the map and figure out how long it will take me to get out to your place, and then we can decide on a day. I'll e-mail you sometime SOON, I promise. :)
