Washington Road Trip

Apr 21, 2007 22:05

The data recovery place was able to recover most of the photos off my microdrive that died, so YAY, I can finally post an entry about our road trip up to Washington. Instead of linking all the photos here, though, I created a set of photos at Flickr (they're public, so you don't have to be a member to view them. At least I think that's how it works ( Read more... )

1. Thanks! :)

2. I haven't actually done much in Portland (although we did drive through), but in general, that's a really beautiful part of the country. Seeing the coast, and some of the cute little towns in Oregon really made me think it might be a nice place to live.

3. Bwahahaha! This was fun. If only my life was one big fun-o-rama. Tonight, I'm typing this watching my kid stomp around the house like a Cyberman. And yes, it IS 1 a.m. here.

Oh wait. That actually qualifies a little bit as fun. Except for the part about my kid being up four hours past his bedtime. But he's being cute, so it's okay. :D It's also cute that I just put on the Discovery show about the Lost Tomb of Jesus, and he said, "OH COOL! The Lost Tomb of Jesus! And it's on the Discovery Channel!" No, this last paragraph really has no relevance to anything else in this entry, except that it's 1 a.m. and my fingers just won't stop typing random stuff! Bwah!

"some of the cute little towns in Oregon really made me think it might be a nice place to live."

Like rain much? ;) Lived in Corvallis for 5 years and spent a quarter at school at the Marine Science Center Campus in Newport right across a driveway from the aquarium (before they sent Keiko out to be 'saved').

Still, not a bad place to bring up kids. It's just...the rain...the horror of the rain!!! LOL Seriously, we would actually comment when it DIDN'T rain between Oct-May...if we had a WHOLE day without it it was like a holiday. That's why everything is so green. The plants, the trees, the people... :)

Yeah, you're not fooling anyone with that "If only my life was one big fun-o-rama". We all know it's one big Carnivale in Wendyland!!! :)

I actually do like rain, so that part of it doesn't bother me.

Oops - no time to write more. Someone's at the door - I think it's the Chippendale's dancers, here for fun-o-rama #247. ;) BWAH!
