I've had a problem with this since episode 1. Hinting at Morgana/Arthur and having Morgana and Gwen be friends will lead to so much sketchiness once they get on with Arthur/Gwen.
Are they going to do it behind Morgana's back? Are they going to play the Morgana thing as unrequited and demoralize her so that she's seen as clearly unsuited to be a queen? What?
I think that one is *properly* shoved under the rug. I didn't watch episodes 10, 11 and 13 of season 1, but as far as I recall, by episode 7 or so there were no more actual hints at Gwen/Merlin.
They could go this way with Arthur/Morgana or pull a Luke/Leia - "it's been a sibling thing all along!". I think both would still be preferable to dragging Morgana trough the mud, make Gwen be the gentle hand who pulls her up, only as a way to undermine Morgana, sullen her relationship with Arthur and set Gwen as a proper future queen.
Also with Lancelot returning too how are we supposed to buy A/G exactly?
Curious about this as well. My first guess would be Lancelot making a move, but being refused in the end. Something a la Robin/Marian/Guy, with Marian feeling attracted to Guy, but choosing Robin. (Disclaimer!: I've never seen Robin Hood, just making an assumption based on general flist noise).
I really don't think they'll go with Gwen/Lancelot - TRU LUV!
Hmm. I wonder if I'm going to be able to enjoy S2 for the entertainment value, or just be a little frustrated and sad about Morgana the whole way through.
I'd recommend skipping it entirely (which is what I'll be doing), I have a feeling it'll be really rough on Morgana. But if you watch... keep me posted? :/
I love Morgana even more than I love Morgana/Arthur, and I have a feeling this season will be rough on her, and not in any way I could find gratifying, which is why I'm sticking with 'thanks, but no'. :/

I'm all for the Arthur/Morgana, but I'll probably keep watching the show anyway, just to see what happens, and just keep hoping....
