I can't find it now, but I was watching an interview clip recently where McCain was basically saying that terrorists and foreign governments aren't afraid of Obama, and that what they're terrified of is a John McCain presidency. Not so much...

Can anybody place the clip I'm thinking of?

So, I'm fairly sure my (ext3) recording partition on my myth box has got some significant fragmentation woes (can't check now because it's still recording the Skins game). Finally, I want to talk about the RNC's media strategy. By and large, the Republicans know how to do media, and even at this convention they did some really smart things. Holy, hell, the Straight Talk Express was pretty much on fire tonight, for the first time in a long time. The rhetoric was fairly soaring, reasonable, and hopeful -- rhetorically, we may finally have a decent race. The crescendo at the end was as good as any I've seen. Just a quick post to say that I've had the music from Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog stuck in my head all day.

Also, I still hate iTunes DRM. I can't give these people my money, unless I only want to watch Dr. Horrible on my laptop.

I just saw that George Carlin died, at age 71. Lately, I've been surprisingly unmoved by celebrity deaths. When Heath Ledger died, I felt sad that anybody had died, but I wasn't upset, nor did I feel particularly personally invested.
