It's before the end, as it always is, but not nearly as early as they both could have wished. Her hair is lighter than usual and more freckles dance around her skin. She's pale and beautiful, but she has always been pale and beautiful.

They find themselves on a planet with no name -- something she questions nonstop -- and the lack of stars is daunting. They are tiny in the eyes of the universe, but she is a brilliant sun in his mind. They're awkward, sitting side by side but never touching. Eyes glued to the darkness that envelopes them, only their breath can be heard in the silence.

She breaks it first -- as she always does -- with words soft and sweet and almost a whisper.

He hears her regardless.

"So," she starts "a planet with no name."

He almost brushes her off, almost tells her, for the hundredth time, that it is possible for something to not have a name. Not common, but absolutely possible ( ... )
