I made it to one more weird place this week before I got hit with the stomach plague late Wednesday night (and have been stuck in my apartment ever since).

According to urban explorer Kevin Walsh, who wrote the wonderful book Forgotten New York and administers the Web site www.forgotten-ny.com, Spuyten Duyvil can be pronounced three different ways

Awesome pictures. I love the Hudson line. It's so lovely taking that train. And I love the forgotten NY website. I didn't know there's a book too! The website has great stuff about the history of Astoria and the different street names.
