I made it to one more weird place this week before I got hit with the stomach plague late Wednesday night (and have been stuck in my apartment ever since).

Awesome pictures. I love the Hudson line. It's so lovely taking that train. And I love the forgotten NY website. I didn't know there's a book too! The website has great stuff about the history of Astoria and the different street names.
