let's see. i am sad about weev's sentencing. even tho weev is one of the most terrible people, i still don't agree with how they took him down, and it weighs even harder on me since i hate and fight against the prison industrial complex so much. it's funny cuz most of the shit with raising kids isn't that hard, but god, feeding every EVERY SINGLE DAY?!?!?! that's killin me. HOW AM I EXPECTED TO DECIDE AND PREPARE WHAT FOOD TO EAT OMG IM TOTALLY NOT AN ADULT

I didn't make dinner one night last week and Autumn was like "What's for dinner" and I said "I didn't take anything out/prep anything. So I don't know. I don't feel like cooking" I thought the world was going to end.

I just read about weev in on Macleans.ca not even 5 minutes ago. Wasn't expecting that kind of sentence. I really do hope he gets his appeal.

And holy hell, your kids are amazing. (I get caught up in the WHAT? FOOD!? WTF HOW DO I FEED HIM GOOD FOOD? with my boy)

The weev thing is so ridiculous. There are companies out there that harvest data using web crawlers and other systems to infer urls. Much more advanced and "dodgy" than what weev did. The only difference is that they don't tell the public about it and hide behind legal documents that prevent people who are interested in the data from sharing the information.

I was reading about weev on Reddit last night, because apparently he stopped by there to do an AMA the night before his sentencing, and that thread was used 3 times against him the next day. I read the thread and he admitted on there a lot of stuff that I was unaware of, so now honestly I'm torn.

PS it really bugs me that weev got a longer sentence than those rapists from Steubenville. I'm not keen on anyone going to prison tbh, but if punitive measures are called for, at least make them fitting to the level of the crime.
