well oakland is of course a major harbor, and we run entire trains of shipping containers out of that port as well as other west coast ports (long beach, richmond, interbay washington, and others). they are stacked 2 high hence "double stacks" or "stack trains." a lot of them go right to the east coast and get on another boat for europe (cutting out months of transit time versus using the panama canal)
back in the early 90s the santa fe painted one of its engines up in a special scheme just for maersk (they are a bis railroad shipper) to use in a company film. it looks pretty good but i think it's long since been repainted to santa fe red and silver.
