I'm currently reading "Slip of the Knife" by Denise Mina, the third in her Paddy Meehan trilogy. The crime novel takes place in Glasgow in 1990, and many of the sistahs will recognize the name of the Ramshorn Theatre that she mentions in this passage:

No, not at all. I was just a bit speechless by your creativity. It makes me wonder why I'm so uninspired to read these days. Nothing captures my interest. It also occurred to me that Ian is resembling his younger self these days.

Reading has taken the place of cocktails for me recently--much cheaper and you can still drive! I've started a lot of books on a whim--liked the cover or something--and often stumbled upon greatness.

Yes, Ian's 'Scandal' hair style, especially, does sort of take him back to that gorgeous, wide-eyed black and white headshot above!
