June 4: A Walk up Dry Gulch

Yesterday evening I walked up Davis Street, which turns into Dry Gulch. I wanted to see how the plants were coming along.

That first orange flower looks like Oriental poppy, Papaver orientale, a hardy perennial that does well in the foothills of the Rockies.
