Hmmm....studying the bit of runner peeking out from your front hall stairs, I think that perhaps I might have the same carpet on mine- Is yours Karastan? Off I go- I have a sudden compulsion to wash and wax my floors, LOL! Beautiful work, dear friend!

I'm so pleased with the way the entryway looks now - the marble look tile goes with the gray living room rug, the floor in the family room, and it looks great against the stair runner (I believe it is Karastan, though it's more than 10 years since we had it installed - hated green carpeting went up the stairs and along the upstairs hallway. Beautiful red runner was our anniversary gift to ourselves that year. Clearly you and I both have excellent taste.).
We finished the floor in that basement room today and cut the baseboard molding. *twirls* Basement post will be fun because the before/during pics show demolition in progress.
