I honestly don't think it will go this way, but was searching for "Lost Moments" online one day and watched this bit right after the one where Charlie's calling Des a coward (which, I'll admit, got my dander up) and the line about lightening rods and lifeguard moves was just there.

I'm a bit behind, since I haven't seen the latest episode and no previews of the next, but this sounds like an interesting scene. Do we know what's happened to Claire? Really well done, as always, and I can actually picture Charlie acting like this, but hopefully he won't. And this is very effective ...the rag doll that ought to be wearing Claire's bright smile. Poor Claire!

Hey, you're psychic like Desmond! You pretty much nailed Charlie's possessive attitude. He just can't stand to let other men be Claire's "hero," can he? You packed a lot of wonderful characterization into this little ficlet. Great job!

Your Charlie voice is excellent, and this line here is so very Desmond that I can hear the soft burr bleeding through, and the phrasing is precise as well: "Nobody's going to take care of her ever again if you won't let me do as I was trained. Give me a bit of room, yea?"
