I made another fanart podfic cover for my iTunes display, this time for Emei's wonderful Fire In Her Hands, which she made into a podfic recently.

When I was planning it, I thought, wouldn't it be great if I could have the title on fire and coming out of his hands, 'cos it would be kind of a play on the title! But I hadn't thought there was a GIMP extension to actually do it, so yay!

Also: I have made cookies tonight, so you should come round and help me eat them at some point...

This is really awesome - the choice of picture is great, and I love how you get the title on fire, and coming from Merlin's hands, both because it plays on the title and also with the allusion to Merlin's magic. Thank you for making it! ♥

Yay! Thank you for the compliment, I'm so glad you like it!

When I was mulling over the design in my mind, I thought it would be nice to play on the title by having a Merlin with his hand outstretched with either a fireball, or the title on fire (like the time he made the Pendragon crest out of sparks), so I was quite excited when I found the right pose (one of the Season Two promo posters) and realised that I really could do that with the title *g*.

I toyed briefly with the idea of trying to create a girl!Merlin before she cut off her hair, but it would have needed a picture of Morgana at a similar angle and size to grab the hair from. I may have another go at that at some point, but I couldn't find any pictures suitable for using - and I'm pretty sure I don't have the skill at the moment!
