Happy now that you've seen this, so I can squeal about Keith Urban with you.

Oh, I just love him. Love him to pieces. SOO happy that he won. I was like, "Oh, Keith, I love you, I'm happy for you, let's make out." Or, something like that.

Happy with the rest of the show, for the most part, too. Loved Brooks and Dunn - always been a fan.

I missed Toby Keith's daughter's performance... I must have been in the kitchen or something... wish I had seen it!

I love country music! And awards! :)

I was so stunned that rational thought was not an option, but when it was, they were my thoughts too!

Ditto... what impressed me was that I always associate high octane performances with them (I mean, the last two years - Only in America and You Can Take the Girl Out of the Honky Tonk... hang on, I'm missing a year, Only in America was 2001... but you know what I mean!) and you really do forget that Ronnie can bleed emotion out of a ballad.

I missed Toby Keith's daughter's performance.
Duet with the old man...Mockingbird. Not sure still if I liked it, but she's got some set of pipes on her.

Yeah you do! Love their ballads! Wish there were more of them!

And, Mockingbird is Toby Keith's newest song, right? I'm not too familar with it. That's cool that singing runs in his family, though. How old is his daughter? Or, how old did she look?

Not sure how old she is... she looked mid to late teens, but who the hell knows with that age group?

How did Alison Krauss do?? I heard she was up for awards. but was flicking channels and missed it I love her voice I'm not ashamed to say I got into her through Buffy.

She just has the ability to produce such haunting melodies.

I saw her and Brad paisley singing Whiskey Lullaby and it sent shivers up and down my spine.

Anyways if you know I be eternally grateful.

Denise.

How did Alison Krauss do??

Won for Vocal Event and Video of the Year... was beaten to female vocalist by Martina McBride, and song and single both by Live Like You Were Dying by Tim McGraw.

And that performance? Made me cry. Adored it.

The only thing I didn't like was Whisky Lullaby getting event of the year. Because though it was a beautiful song, I thought Jimmy Buffet, Clint Black, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Kenny Chesney and Toby Keith singing Hey Good Lookin' was more of an event.

Much as I love this song, and just, you know, Brad, I agree. Methinks they were making it up to him for not giving him Song/Single of the Year... but that's me being a conspiracy theorist!

So either we're both right, or we've been doing this for way too long!!!
