Okay people, dudski and captaincatapult raised an important issue this evening: what do you do when you have fundamentally different fandom ideas/ships from your friends?

I love:

- McKay/Keller. I frickin' love it, I think they are fantastic together, and 'shipped them before the show even hinted at it.
- McKay/Weir
- everyone/everyone in SGA. I am not even playing. I will read any and all pairings in that fandom. Most of my favorites are McKay/Sheppard, but I think that's mostly a function of the corner of fandom in which I hang out. Certain pairings are harder than others, but I think they can all be done (and have been done) well.
- Season 5. There, I said it.

I read (and love) Due South fic, even though I haven't seen the show since I was a kid, and even then only a few times. But I'll only read Fraser/RayK. IDEK.

Also, I am actually really pumped about the new Stargate show. And I really, genuinely like Sanctuary.

Oh, and I love those super-angsty/everyone hates Rodney now post-Trinity fics. LOVE.

Oh, see, I still haven't watched any of season 5, so for me, mckay/keller is still hilarious awkward rodney sort of hopping around and blushing, which i think is probably the perfect setup for me. Maybe after I (eventually, allegedly) watch the last season I'll agree with you!

Luckily for you, I am kind of drunk! Yaaaay! Um, let's see. I can't say I ship Harry/Hermione for reals, but I would love to read a GOOD Harry/Hermione and always kind of entertain the notion that maybe somenday I'll do it myself. But probably not. But maybe.
