Did you guys here about the "bomb scare" in Boston? (Thanks to lizerati for pointing this story out.) Basically what happened is that these two guys got arrested for putting up electrical signs as part of a marketing campaign for the Adult Swim show Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I heard about this and when I told my dad he said "Are you fucking kidding me?" And he works for the government too. He was able to call it like it was--a joke.

Boston officials must be so fucking embarassed.

I saw the guys being lead off in handcuffs on the news this morning. Even they looked amused. I'm still trying to decide if it's hilarious or terrifying.

Good job on the quote round-up, though it sure didn't help my "hilarious or terrifying" quandry.

Yes, yes, I heard about this. I heard the mayor talking on NPR about the bombs when they still were bombs, before the "mystery" was solved.

Blakely has informed me that the Dept of Homeland Security issued a statement saying they had no credible reports of these devices in any other city. Please go to sleep tonight knowing that DHS is protecting you.
