Here's a classic Bill Hicks' routine on malls, pop music and Jimi Hendrix. It's amazing how everything he said in the late 80s/early 90s still rang true 10 years later, still rings true today and will probably still ring true in another decade.

Sane Man was the show that got me in to Bill Hicks.

I still think it's the funniest he's done.

Really? Does he repeat it in Relentless? Because that's where I thought it came from and I had actually been wondering why the bit seen in this clip went a bit differently than I remembered (i.e. the special effects).

I'll probably get insulted for this, since he's a brilliant wordsmith and she's a flighty pop singer, but whatever.

I dislike this. It's always bugged the hell out of me. Gibson wrote her own music (including the instruments), played the piano, and wrote her own lyrics. The lyrics were silly? She was 14 when she wrote them. She also doesn't sing through her nose, unlike a certain "Moon Is Smiling" singer I could name. He should have really chosen someone less talented to pick on. (There were other popular singers at the time without as much talent. Makes him look stupid to people who know.)
