So I've been spending time in South Central Los Angeles lately. I have a friend in a halfway house down there. He's one of the people I know who set up a medical marijuana grow with the San Francisco Police Department and then got busted by the DEA anyway. I like the writing, very much.

As for the neighborhood, I have found that it always runs in pockets like that when poverty is involved. There are some that have pride and will make things right, whatever it takes, and some who just do not give a shit.
