During our recent visit to San Diego, we took a ton of really awesome pictures. For starters, there are purple flowers freakin' *everywhere* and that makes for some pretty photogenic landscapes. On the way into the city from the north there's a huge field of them like a patch on a semi-distant hillside along the interstate. From the perspective of ( Read more... )

That's pretty wild. What was it originally? I can't tell at all from this picture.

I hardly check livejournal these days. We lost our internet connection in our house and I really don't want to pay for it so...I check it and update it from work when I have time.

I'll take wild; thanks!

Believe it or not, I started with this photo and worked from there.

I know what you mean about LJ. It's really gotten hard for me to keep up anymore and I'm not even in the situation you are with the Internet. Though, on that note, the vast majority of my flist has been pretty busy lately. It seems to be the theme for 2008 thus far -- no spare time.

Yeah, we came down the 15 because, according to my girlfriend (who goes to confrences in SD a lot), going down the 405 through Orange County traffic is like stabbing yourself in the eye with a pencil.

Wow, I saw in your journal awhile back that you made the move from SD to LA, but I didn't realize you were coming up here from SD to work before that. Damn, that's a haul. I actually live up in the Mojave Desert about 20-30 minutes north of Palmdale and I go to school way down in Cerritos and people marvel that I drive that distance, but it's probably not half the trip you used to do!

But yeah how about the 5 and the 405? Ah, if only knives stuck out of my wheels like in Bond movies. (And I've only been driving in LA for a year!)
