I'm wicked pissed off with Microsoft Office 2007 right now. Oh yeah, the new interface is impressive and pretty and all that, but it seems like every program in the suite has some major functional problem. Thanks for the warning. I hate new user interfaces, which keeps me nicely half a decade behind the early adopters.

There is a licensed copy of Office 2003 waiting for you in my big black CD binder on the bookshelf.

If you want to write Office suite-compatible documents (.xls, .doc, .ppt), do you use Mac software, or does MS write a version for the Mac?

I use the older version of Office on my Mac (2000, or whatever the next most recent is), but from what I've heard, on the new Macs (with Leopard) , the Mac equivalent of the Office programs can read and write those files.
