Has anyone contacted LJ to get a Help Japan v-gift set up? A lot of people use those while bidding on charity auctions, so having one would be great.

Yes! one of the mods of the help_nz auction has already kindly volunteered to work on the v-gift thing. :) We're happy to have so many people willing and able to help us so quickly!

This is really awesome but at the moment Japan is requesting people to NOT DONATE YET. So for those in a haste to donate they are asking you to donate to the Red Cross only...

anyway, it's a good thing we haven't got any donations yet! auctions start on Monday, and we have the Red Cross at the top of the list of relief / charity groups.
