I keep seeing people post things about issues on LJ or something and I am sooo confused.

Ohhhhh, THAT. Yeah, I'm just kind of ignoring it because it's just a bunch of people freaking out unnecessarily. I think it's similar to "strikethrough '07" or whatever the crap it was called, lol. So, basically, LJ is deleting some journals and creating new rules without "consent" of the users (particularly fandom people), etc., in order to avoid breaking laws and being sued - which, IMO, is completely understandable and fine because LJ/six apart is a PRIVATELY OWNED COMPANY and not a DEMOCRACY. People can take their might-possibly-be-considered-illegal 'fics and artwork to another place if they don't like it. I mean, I think some of it's a little silly, but I don't blame LJ for it.

I think that's the gist of it, anyway. I haven't been following too closely, lol.
