That is so damn tragic. Kudos for handling him so well, I can imagine he gets the cold shoulder from a lot of people.

I've done customer service long enough that I've got the "smile and nod" thing down pretty good. It takes a LOT for me to show anything while the customer is still there.
Now I'm just tempted to use the "3:00? I'll be drunk by then." line on my boss. :)

Yup, he was there at exactly the time I said they'd be ready.

The pictures were pretty anti-climatic. It was just a group of 5 or 6 people hanging out in a dive bar. He wasn't in any of them. One chick had a definite bar skank look, but the others were mostly normal.

Glad you updated. I totally wanted to know what the pictures were of, too. So weird. Well, at least it added some "excitement" to your day, eh? Haha. :D
