The lives of strangers, and tragedy

One of the things I love about working at a photo-lab is the glimpses into other people's lives that I get from their photos. People are usually photographing the happy things in their lives. Sometimes, though, it's not so happy.

I hate tragic stories like that. They remind me that life is sometimes so bitterly unfair.

Yes, usually a set of photos like that is for a wedding, and you've got both the bride and groom. It was so damn sad.

Yes, very sad. I was really just doing my job, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't put extra effort into making them look as good as possible.
