Not exactly a calm evening at home...

Holy crap. What a night. hellbob & I had just finished dinner w/ a guest and were sitting around chatting when the phone rang.
hellbob looked at the caller id and said "Who is [wiredferret' RealName]? Now since this is someone I don't think I have *ever* talked to on the phone I figured something must be wrong.
When I answered the phone wiredferret asked if I'd been on LJ and said gunthar

i never did the emergency LJ post, i sure will do one now.

i'm glad he got help and i hope he's going to be okay.

Yeah, I put my contact info there just so that my friends could get to it if they needed to. Also so that when someone needs my address I can tell them where to find it. I never really thought of it as an emergency contact post before. And hopefully I never have to again!

Wired and I were within one or two contacts of completely striking out, until you had the actual address. Thank heavens. You know, I never checked to see if there was an address post anywhere in his journal. I didn't even think of it.

I didn't think of checking for an address post until after the fact. Your idea of having folks give you emergency info to keep in a spreadsheet is brilliant. I may have to do a similar post when I get home tonight.
