This, unfortunately, also lead to me running away a lot so I could be an "orphan" and hopefully get picked up by someone like Mr Warbucks.

I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY KID THAT DID THIS okay, I didn't want to get adopted. I just wanted to live a gritty, survivalist street life. I can't remember if this was influenced by Annie or that cat version of Oliver Twist though. Either way, I probably sung "The Sun'll Come Out Tomorrow" at some point.

I did that too. The singing part anyways.
I used to like being called "Orphan Annie" cos my middle name is Anne.

Now, my parents hated calling me anything to do with the first half of my name "Ana". My friends started calling me that when I started highschool, and they loathed it. So I never got that, much to my dismay.

I never got very far though AHHH THE WHOLE "STRUGGLE TO SURVIVE" THING I did that too why is it so appealing to children? I feel like such an arrogant brat, pretending to scavenge for food and then just going home when I got hungry.

It's a hard knock life for us, it's a hard knock liiiife for uuuus.

Annie! I adored that movie! I was even in a play of Annie once, and knew "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow" in sign language because of that play.
And The Little Mermaid. I liked that mostly because she was a redhead and I'd always loved red hair and wanted to be ginger. 'Cause I'm weird, apparently.
