I loved this peek in Percy's childhood!

“You could send that boy to Hogwarts naked, without a scrap of parchment - he'd still come home top of his class. You just see if he doesn't.”
This was my favorite line because it shows how proud Arthur is of Percy.

I particularly enjoyed writing that line, so I'm glad you pulled it out. I like anything with "naked" in it **grin**.

I think the gap of understanding between Percy and Arthur is particularly significant. I would say that quite a lot of what Percy does, especially when he's young, is to make Arthur proud. So, to see that Arthur's proud of Percy to start with, before Percy's done anything but be himself, illustrates that gap rather pointedly. Of course, none of that is really in the story, haha, just musings and maybe fodder for future fic-age.
