I love you so much right now, seriously. SO FREAKING MUCH. I hate that no one seems to understand where Dean is coming from, maybe it's because the people who are complaining have never dealt with actual Depression, or they don't know how to connect their personal experiences with characters, but it rubs me the wrong way when all I hear are reviews bashing Dean and the way he's dealing with things. Including his tossing of the amulet, his loss of fight, and his symbolic goodbyes. Because everything Dean has done since Joshua sent Sam and Dean back has been classic pre-suicidal behavior, EVERYTHING. The short temper, the loss of interest, taking everything so close to heart, and the way he's been saying goodbye. He said goodbye to Sam with the amulet, to Bobby and Cas by distancing himself, and to the world by saying goodbye to the last of his dreams in the form of Lisa and Ben. I can only assume that the people who are complaining are impossibly young things who have never been in love with an idea and don't know what a downward depression spiral looks/feels like. Good for them, I guess :P
:D rofl, if only all of us could be that ignorant. I'm excited to see how Misha Collins manages Cas' downward spiral next week. because he knocked the 'get insanely drunk and depressed' phase scarily well on Thursday didn't he? I swear Show is really knocking the characterization out of the park this half of the season aren't they?
