Hello! It's been 3 weeks since I last posted here, and MY GOODNESS THE WORLD.

So, let's address a couple of things before we get into the episode:

1)My mother's surgery went fine and she's recovering at home, yay! I've flown back to Vancouver ( Read more... )

This was a weird episode. It felt like filler to me...guess they wanted to wrap up the loose end of Dark Kaia running around our world...they got Adam out of the Cage, so who's left? Oh, anti-Christ Jesse from season 5. He and Jack would make a set...

I don't have a whole lot to say about this one other than I did love the 'dumb Winchester move' bit. That was good.

Berens made a good point on twitter. The action-plot itself was perhaps just a "wrap-up this loose thread" plot... but in terms of the character-plot, it addressed the concern about having Soulless!Jack back. Because Jack acted as a Winchester, despite it all - and Sam and Dean both (emotionally) recognized it. So, the episode was also about putting them back together as a team that trusted each other, despite the events that led to Jack's death.

So, whatever the final run of episodes is (and whenever we see them), we know that there aren't any ongoing conflicts between our core team.

And as a gift to the fans, giving Kaia back, knowing they'll most likely won't be able to finish her storyline like they probablyplanned to do in the spin off, is a nice gift to those who liked her, and who were upset about seeing another lesbian character killed off.

It's also a good goodbeye to Jody, since I heard that this is supposed to be her final episode. Like with Garth, I'm happy the show left her in good health, happy with her family safe for what might be the last time we see her.

With Supernatural's history, and based on how other shows handle their final seasons, I can't help but be grateful for that. (even if it does make me more worried for the show's ending, rather than less.

Yes, completely agree! I should have mentioned that I love the fact that a)they reunited the lesbians, and b)they left Jody alive with her adopted kids (and Donna - by association)... and both those things are therefore left with happy endings.

I felt so sorry for that poor guy at the Radio Shed, I have to admit, I expected him to just kill the guy at the end, like he did to Becky and her husband, but in the end what he did was worse. Because it showed just how little he cared, in how he decided to just destroy the guy's entire world.

Oh man! ME TOO!!! I felt so bad for him... both that actor and Rob did a good job with their characters in that scene. The RadioShed guy with how bad I felt for him, and Rob for how cruel he came across.

I liked how Winchester-y everyone acted. (well, the good guys, anyway.)

I still wish they could bring back the original Death. I like Billie, but I loved him. He was perfect.

I hope they get to finish filming the season, however that happens. If they can't finish filming, I'd listen to an audio of the finale. Or maybe this just means they need to make a movie (or two) to finish it all up.

I too loved the original Death, even though I also love Billie. It's hard to be both thrilled and disappointed at the same time. :P

I'm certain they'll finish off the season as they intended. We'll probably just get the finale a couple of weeks or months later than intended, depending how good everyone is at staying healthy in the coming weeks.
