 Hello!

Tonight i haven't been drinking, but hopefully this will still be entertaining for you all...but I still took crappy notes, so everything is still recapped only to the best of my memory and all quotes are paraphrased, probably.

Oh, as I'm sure you know, there was a moment in tonight's episode that filled me with so much joy... so much... ( Read more... )

AND MAN, it's only been SEVEN YEARS! I'm so glad that the show is FINALLY admitting that MAYBE being tortured by Lucifer for 160-1000+ years depending on your reckoning, MIGHT HAVE AFFECTED SAM A LITTLE?!?!

This was my feeling as well.

I'm interested to see if they go further with this, or if this will be the only time it's brought up. With Lucifer on the loose again, I do hope that it'll cause Sam to open up a bit more, and maybe start to deal with it rather than just repress and soldier on.

Back with the witches - Sam and Dean show up, and STUPIDLY (I swear to god, the show really needs to think of BETTER ways to do this, because IT GETS STUPIDER EVERY TIME) that ANNOUNCE that they have witch-killing bullets instead of, oh, I don't know, just KILLING THE WITCHES!!!!

Gah! That really irked me, too! Why show, WHY???? They could have easily just had the sisters attack the boys before they even said that line. I mean they obviously know enough about the Winchesters so why wouldn't they know they'd have witch killing bullets? They could have done w/out that reveal at all and the boys wouldn't have appeared stupid. Though Dean accidentally showing Rowena the address was a close second, but at least it was more subtle and fast (good job on Jensen's part there).

Exactly!! So frustrating.

But yeah, Jensen and Ruth did a good job on the address, where it wasn't SO obvious.

Yuppity yup. All your highlights match mine - and your lowlights too. I have no confidence that Cas has dispatched Lucifer and to be fair, I don't actually care about either of them so yeah. There is that.

Yeah, but there's not caring, and then there's loathing with every fiber of your being. I'm cool with Cas, but having to watch Lucifer is the WORST for me. But... I should obey my own rules around here and not complain too much.

So, highlights were highlights! Enjoyable episode. :)

1) I too cheered when Cas stabbed Luci--not only for the fleeting joy that Luci was gone, but also that Cas had a flash of his long-ago badassery.

2) Sam's reveal of his PTSD was heartbreaking (and filmed fantastically!) Just 7 years too late, show!!! Going to try to not look a gift horse in the mouth, though...

3) Announcing they have witch-killing bullet!!! Gaping at the portal instead of running through it!!! All I can think is that all the cumulative head trauma both boys have suffered is finally catching up to them and making them have stupid moments??? Grrr...

However, while it's never going to make my top 50 list, it was an entertaining episode.

1)So true, I LOVE badass Cas.

2)Same!

3)Haha, I like that explanation - it would certainly explain why it happens more in these later seasons ;)

Is it just me, or did they cast the guy who played Dale, because he looked so much like Chris Hemsworth as Thor, especially considering the way he was killed with a hammer.

Hahaha, maybe! He was basically Truck-Stop AU Thor. :P
