I seem to remember liking this one because it was one of those 'gray' episodes where there is more to the story than just 'monster bad.' Because this story really was about the 2 half-brothers and how they reacted to the family monster. And I liked the stoner kid and felt bad that he died. And I remember being really upset that the kid was still alive in the cooler right where Sam and Dean were but they didn't know it.

Yup yup, those are basically all my thoughts too. It's a pretty tragic episode. But well done.
