Despite the rough start to the week, I had a good birthday! I went to see one of my favourite musicians, I had good times with friends, it was all lovely

Ah, 'tis the season! It's nice to know other people are still out there doing it too.
Thanks for the prompt! It'll give me something to do tomorrow! :)
And no, I haven't gotten my hands on a copy of the s12 dvds yet! I've been super distracted with family visits and vacation planning! But man, I should get on that... this year I want to change things up a little so that I'm done before May. :P
1. Wee!Sam starts school and Wee!Dean worries all day. 2. 12yr old Sam and 16yr old Dean. Out in the Impala in the middle of nowhere, it is a scorching hot day, and they break down.. 3. aprox S11. The boys get drunk and watch bad TV.
OMG! CROSSOVER! You know the way to my heart... stay tuned!
And yes, Canadian Thanksgiving is the second Monday of October, and just a celebration of the harvest ending (no stories of pilgrims or whatnot). So, yeah, some people do the whole thanksgiving turkey, potatoes, etc... but it's not like a mandatory family holiday football/pre-game-Christmas that you guys have.
It's why when Dark Side of the Moon aired, I was like "why is it such a big deal that Sam spend thanksgiving with a friend's family? It's just thanksgiving, no one cares." And then all the Americans were like "OMG CULTURAL THING!" And I was like "Ah."
Happy belated birthday to you!!! And happy Canadian thanksgiving too (like Amber above, I never realised you guys had one!)
I've seen a couple of prompt me things around recently on my flist, so I'll throw one or two in the pile for good measure;
- Sam and Dean finally get 'sand between their toes' - A quiet day in the bunker doing chores (who does the washing up? Does the bunker have a laundry room? Do they hang their clothes outside to dry? Do they have an old vacuum cleaner or any other vintage cleaning products? How many bathroom need cleaning? Do the boys have a chore rota?)
There is less activity on LJ, but prompts are always fun.
I would love to see what happened in England now that Harry, Sherlock and John Watson all know about each other (continuation of the triple-crossover with Supernatural, Harry Potter and Sherlock).

Second, two other people have posted 'prompt me' posts this week so it must be a thing:)
So here's a prompt for you: It's mid-late season one and for some reason the boys start talking about close calls they've had.
Do you have the season 12 dvds yet to start your recap/clothes watch?

Ooh prompt fic! Mmm let me think. How about:
1. During the year Dean thinks Sam's in the cage, getting drunk in a bar with a taciturn, shaggy-haired guy with a metal arm
2. Dean or Sam piss off some faeries, shenanigans ensue

But, I'll keep it in mind! Just in case inspiration strikes.
Other than that, nice to talk to you again! I hope you're doing well. :)
