But also made me appreciate Bucky's confusion and wonder if it would have been freakier or not as freakier if instead of hatred I had thought that maybe I loved them. Awwwww... feeelings.
Sam's dodging all those missiles and shots from the fighter planes bugged me too. He was just moving too fast and avoiding things he couldn't possibly see in situations where he should have been swiss cheese. I mean, rule of awesome and all, but yeah, it took me out of it.
Yeh, in those kinds of scenes I remind myself that it is a comic come to life and sometimes the action is going to be over the top. I mean, what about Fury's driving after the vehicle is riddled with bullets? And the best funny part, when Fury takes out his lightsaber and cuts a hole in the ground! Ha! But it works if you picture it framed on the page in the comic. It actually works really well and I like it.
I think the difference is that for all those examples, my mind can instantly say "this universe has more advanced technology than we do" - and then, there we go, disbelief suspended. But with Falcon, he's doing something super human with the movie trying to tell us that he's NOT a super human.
But yes, then I just remind myself that no one is getting massive career-ending concussions either, and that obviously, in addition to more advanced technology, I also have to assume that the universe has more advanced basic humans. :P
