This week, I'm cat/house-sitting, so I got to watch early with the east-coast - but then I had to make dinner, because I was hungry. BUT! It also means that I have a PVR (That's DVR to you, Americans, and "-box" to you Brits... I don't know what they say in other countries, sorry folks ( Read more... )

It's kind of interesting that they had Sam be the one to kill the teen Djinn. And this isn't the first time, Dean seems to have a harder time killing a monster when it looks like a kid or a teenager. Not that he won't do it, he just seems to find it harder to do so than Sam.

Very true. Dean has a soft spot for kids, and that translates to being hesitant to kill even monstrous kids. Sam, meanwhile, is surprisingly a little more matter-a-fact about it.

Great review as always. :)
I think you're quickly becoming a Dean/Jensen girl. So much mentioning of his slim waist. *g*

I just really love Charlie, you guys. I want her to be the little sister they never wanted.
Pretty sure she's firmly cemented her place there by now. ;)

All the hugs!!!!!!!! So much love! This has been such a huggy season, we'll be spoiled for anything less in the future.

Haha, I firmly stand by my bi-bro affiliation (and that goes for the actors too). I love them both equally. ;)

The trend with hugs definitely must continue!! And Charlie must have her place so cemented that she never dies (like Cas).

awwww. this sounds too cute. They are not allowed to kill her off, damn it, because this show needs someone who can show up occasionally and balance out the angst with cuddles and jokes and geekery, dang it.

I love the fact that Dean got Sam to punch him to put him to sleep, but I just want to point out that the last time they took African Dream Root, they fell asleep instantaneously.

The suggestion I like is that Sam punching Dean is actually part of the dream state, a transitional phase before he hits Charlie's dream.

Haha, that's hilarious. Meanwhile, Dean actually just swooned and Sam caught him and put him in the chair... :P

Yep...was not expecting this episode to slay me as much as it did. So much hugging and cuddling, and Dean and Charlie being bros forever, and then the scene with Charlie reading the Hobbit...yeah, was totally flat out crying by that point. I'm tearing up again just thinking about it ( ... )

Also, small note, but DEAN IS MAKING PLANS FOR THE FUTURE!!!! He's starting to see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel!

So true!! I didn't even realize that, because I was too distracted by the fact that they were LARPing plans.

e's not letting go of Sam, but he has let go of the fear that Sam's going to fail, that he's too weak or too sick, and now he's trusting in Sam. It's like what he did in "Swan Song", except not in the Eleventh Hour. Dean's having FAITH, in himself and in Sam (and maybe in Cas too). That's my take on it, at least.

Well said.

Also, that was a nice, subtle character development moment, when Dean decided in Charlie's dream to stop playing along with the game and refused to be a soldier, the soldier that John made him to be. Instead, he chose to do what might be considered as the "unmasculine" thing and let go, to not fight. *tears up* DEAN BABY, YOU'RE GROWING UP.

Also, well said - I completely agree and it is awesome.

Charlie/Dean is truly my BROTP. I love Dean's friendships with people like Benny ( ... )
