I loved the little conversation about colors there too. Done mine too. I can't deal with wearing the colors they say I should (pastels, ugh) but at least I'm more aware of which tones to pick of the other colors. Plus, wth is cherise? I love that they use a color name I've never heard before.

Ah, them watching telly together. It amuses me so much when shows let us see a snippet of everyday life like that, and even more so when we get a great character reaction as a result. Sherlock would be fantastic to watch a crime show or soap with, but only if you'd already seen the episode. lol

Targetting their heart and head, so perfect. I caught the difference there, but I'm not sure I registered the change in target when Moriarty came back after. That's brilliant.

Now I'm never going to see a laser sight again without thinking of set techs. *giggles*

I may have spelled cerise wrong - cerise, spellcheck tells me. Anyway, yeah, lord help me if I know. I'm horrible with colour names....which is ironic given how much I like clothes.

I love the domestic scenes in everything I watch...I get excited whenever they show the boys on Supernatural brushing their teeth. :P

Haha, sorry I ruined scary laser sights for you. ;)

I always took it that after TBB John stopped working again because now they had L25,000 in their account and were financially okay. And work would interfere with being able to assist Sherlock.

Yeah, but 25,000 pounds isn't enough to live in London... I mean, if John LOST his job, it would make sense that he had a bit of a cushion before he needed a different job - but I don't think 25,000 is enough for John to be like "screw this! I'm never working again!" ...mind you, 25,000 CDN dollars would be enough for me to not have to work for 1-year while living in Vancouver. I couldn't live large, but I could live...so you might have a point.

Ah, that exchange is so lovely! I love that Sherlock doesn't think of himself as a hero despite all the things he can do and has done. Btw, I always call what I write "unabashed hero worship" and the Mycroft fic I mentioned has been posted on AO3. Don't know whether you check AO3 for new fics, so maybe you've seen it already.I don't tend to check AO3 for new Sherlock fics. Are you the same username ( ... )

Thanks for the links. I'm horribly disorganized sometimes. :P

And yeah, I'm an idiot...I totally didn't think about the other cases. So, you may have a point. John might not have to work after all. Man, I'm in top form today.

I'm not sure about the UK military, but I know the Canadian military trains its soldiers to eat right-handed before going to Afghanistan. The left hand is considered the "unclean" hand there (and it's used for unsanitary things - best to keep your hands separate when you don't have reliable access to clean water), so eating left-handed not only disgusts any locals, but could start a confrontation as well.

Ah, good point. I knew that about the middle-east, but I hadn't made the connection with John's military service. That makes sense.

I almost wish John was right about the cat - he's so PLEASED with himself. Though, I do like the fact that Sherlock is so affectionately amused by John's conclusions.
I think that Sherlock enjoys that John was able to come up with a cleverer way of murdering Connie than what was actually done.

My scientist/medical-field friends agree with me - "That's what surgeons do!"...which to me, means that John shouldn't really be criticizing him for it, because JOHN SHOULD KNOW.
Yes!

See, this is the thing, if Sherlock CARED then he'd be distracted by the horror of having it be a kid - instead, he just locks that away and starts making all the connections with everything he's learned in his head.
Yes again. If it weren't for Sherlock's "callousness", the child would be dead.

"How long have you been following me?"
Oh John, you should know by you that Sherlock's always following you...

This is Moriarty's problem - well, besides being a psychopath - he chose the boring profession. It's easy to break the law - what's difficult is to work within ( ... )
