Stepping out into the Central Tower, Cloud was surprised to see that he was the first one out that he knew. Actually, the entire area was quite devoid of the normal assortment of prisoners. Everyone was coming and going quickly, and he reached up to touch his collar, feeling the familiar burn of electricity against his skin.
That was right... something had triggered the collars at dinner time. He wondered what that was about, but it was just another injury to account for the many other burns he had. Still, why did he feel a little different?
Looking at his hand, he leaned against the wall next to the Traitor's Wing and then glanced towards the Killer's Wing. What was taking the ex-General so long anyway? Sephiroth almost felt... annoyed by something, but there were no signs of pain through their link that would indicate further injury. No, it almost seemed like Sephiroth was wanting... to cause injury.
Sephiroth's gaze shifted from the child and over to Cloud at the sudden questioned demand. He doubted it would help anyone if the collar was removed either.
"And what happens when the child squeals to the guards once they've noticed the missing collar, hmm?" Sephiroth found himself asking before his gaze shifted back over towards the one in question, "I've no doubt that he'd last five minutes under torture."
11-12 looked offended but frightened as well. "You don't know anything about me and so I'd thank you not to make assumptions," he said to Sephiroth. Even though he appeared frightened he was still standing up for himself with a hint of arrogance.
He then looked to Cloud again. "I haven't anywhere else to go..."
Aerith slid through the doorway from the showers as quickly as she could, pushing bangs out of her eyes as she went. She was sure that she looked a little frazzled, but she was in a hurry after all. She wondered why the guards had shocked them all to sleep - she couldn't remember anything unusual happening during dinner to warrant such a reaction.
She quickly spotted Cloud, Sephiroth, and the boys he met in the gardens chatting nearby. She hurried over, ignoring her bruises as they protested the urgent movement.
"Sorry I'm late," she said, trying her best to ignore whatever Sephiroth's reaction might be to her arrival. No matter what he did, it was likely to be incredibly negative.
Pushing the door open to the tower area, Yuuri peered out from within the shower area moments before the rest of his body followed. Cloud was instantly recognisable, and despite the way that he was feeling, a smile instantly bloomed on his face.
"Cloud!" He called out before his attention shifted over to the others in the group. Sephiroth was still imposing looking as usual, and the sight of Aerith always seemed to bring a comforting feeling within, but as he approached he saw another boy there that he'd never seen before.
Yuuri slowed down as he approached the group, and with a friendly smile, he said, "Hello! I'm Yuuri."
Cloud shook his head and crossed his arms over his chest as he looked between 11-12 and Sephiroth. It was like dealing with kids sometimes. "What if he keeps his collar and puts it back on at the end of the night? No questions asked, no need to be upset."
Turning his head, he spotted Aerith and looked at her worriedly. She looked frazzled, and he wondered if that shock from the collars had injured her more. Instantly, he stepped over to inspect her neck, thinking that he saw burns similar to the one's on everyone else's neck, including his own. "It's alright. We're still waiting on Yuuri."
Speak of the demon king, the weirdo came through the door and joined them. He smirked at the corner of his lips when Yuuri seemed to pay special attention to him, and he reached out to take his sword from Sephiroth. He had to look the part of hero after all. "Yuuri, Aerith, this is 11-12." Brian, he thought. "11-12, these are our companions, Yuuri and Aerith. Shall we get on our way?"
He hardly needed to know anything about someone to make such claims. The child hardly looked as though he'd been through a true bout of torture, but to each their own. Still he couldn't help but feel a small well of amusement over the fact that he seemed to have offended the child.
"How polite," Sephiroth murmured with a chuckle before shrugging his shoulders at Cloud's attempt to diffuse the situation, "If he proves himself worthy of it, I might consider it."
The appearance of the Cetra caused his amusement to fade back into indifference. Grunting Sephiroth turned his attention dismissively away from the interaction towards the pair as he noticed the foolish king arriving.
Catching the inward thought of Cloud's throughout the introductions, Sephiroth huffed subtly beneath his breath. He still thought that the name was rather unimaginative.
11-12 frowned more at Sephiroth's words but didn't reply as they were joined by others. He smiled slightly at Aerith's familiar face before there was another - one he didn't now but introductions were then all around.
Yuuri, at lest semed to be more friendly. 11-12 smiled at him in a more relaxed way. "It's nice to meet you."
Then he waited for the others to start whatever they had planned to do.
Aerith smiled at the sudden influx of people. It seemed that tonight's activities would be crowded, but she never thought that was a negative thing. She liked the company of a decent sized group - it reminded her of her time with AVALANCHE.
Giving both Yuuri and 11-12 a wave as they came over, Aerith turned her focus on Cloud, who seemed intent to...well...mosey.
"Let's go," she agreed, giving him a nod. The sooner they set on their task, the sooner it would be over. This wasn't exactly the most pleasant of adventures, after all.
Yuuri's eyes widened when Cloud took the large sword, and he found himself smiling brightly when the blonde began to take the look of a hero. Al had always looked good with his holy sword, and he wondered what Cloud would look with his. Aaah he was missing Morgif right about now.
The introductions had Yuuri's attention shifting back over to the prisoner he didn't know. "11-12?" He questioned before smiling brightly, "It's nice to meet you as well!"
Peering at everyone around, the young Maou felt as though he wasn't alone in this. "Thank you, everyone." He earnestly said to them all before his attention shifted over to Cloud. Nodding his head, Yuuri's smile returned, "Let's go."
When introductions had been done, Cloud smirked and swung his sword above his head before characteristically setting it against his back. It seemed like this was going to be quite the adventure, but it was just like hanging around with AVALANCHE again. No swearing from Barret though, but this would be a good group regardless.
Turning, he waved everyone to follow. "Let's mosey," he said before leading the way across the Central Tower, avoiding the solitary pits as he went. He grabbed the door to the yard and threw it open before stepping out.
