[Day 13] Machine Shop (Duty Shift)

Dec 12, 2009 09:40

Tassadar had kept to himself throughout breakfast, and had only moved to stand up from his corner after the warden had spoken. What a license plate was, was something the Protoss warrior didn't know, but he was certain that he'd find out soon enough. He made his way through the central tower area, and after pushing the door open, the templar began ( Read more... )

The fresh air was nice, even if the weather never seemed to change in this place. He suspected that there was a reason for that, aside from the boredom of nothing but monsters and ways to die changing. The day was much like the night really, except there was sun instead of a moon in the sky. Clear as clear could be though ( ... )

Just knowing that there were vampires out in the world left Yuuri in a bit of a daze. He had never expected such a thing, and while he felt that he should have been horrified with the thought, the young Maou couldn't find himself scared of Eric. He seemed like such a good guy!

Making his way through the yard, Yuuri noticed the soft murmuring of the prisoners around him. "Huh?" He questioned while peering around to see what all the fuss was about.

"Excuse me," Yuuri muttered apologetically as he pushed his way between two quietly gossiping prisoners. "What's going o--" He felt the words abruptly die in his throat as he caught sight of just what the others were looking at ( ... )

He pushed through other prisoners looking and whispering about the deaths, a familiar sight to them all. Most just talked about and moved on, others seemed to know who was dead and grew emotional. He didn't know those people, so he left them be to deal with things on their own; no, he was specifically out for Yuuri. The kid couldn't handle an argument let alone the death of a comrade ( ... )

Why was everything getting in the way? He could feel his heart hammering within his chest and the burn in his legs, but Yuuri didn't care. He was the one who had let Wolfram down again and hadn't protected him. How could he even call himself a friend if he allowed Wolfram to die twice when he was meant to protect him?

Yuuri pushed himself harder. He had to get Wolfram down from the cages, but it was getting difficult to see as his vision began to stupidly blur. The world around him seemed to be non-existent, and he didn't care what happened to him. He just knew that he had to get to Wolfram.

There was something slipping around his waist as he bolted towards the cages, but it didn't stop him from trying to run. "No! Wolfram's there!" Yuuri cried out in opposition even as he flt himself being jerked back towards whoever had caught him, "Let me go!"

The words spoken at breakfast still weighed heavily on Sephiroth's mind as he made his way to the Machine Shop. He'd caught sight of Cloud running off after that child when it appeared someone he knew was held within the cages, but he made no attempt to interfere. So long as the guards didn't step in then it was Cloud's decision to what he did.

Following the others into the Machine Shop, Sephiroth held himself highly as he stalked his way around the outside of the room. If they thought they'd get him to do whatever pathetic task set to hand then they were deluding themselves. He would never submit to their desires.

When Armand noticed the prisoners looking up at the cage, his heart squeezed painfully knowing what he'd likely see. Friends, dead and how horribly offered to the elements and carrion eaters. He swallowed hard, not wanting to keep looking, but he did until he saw Wolfram. The other people he knew hurt painfully, especially Soma. But with the way Yuuri had been acting the last few days, Wolfram was the bigger concern. He knew what the small blond looked like almost as well as Yuuri did by now. Not that he was fond of him, but he knew his friend was ( ... )

11-12 looked startled by both the cage and the commotion from the young boy. In a bit of a daze and looking a bit pale, he followed the rest of the prisoners, still feeling too ill to protest anything right now. He hadn't eaten anything at breakfast and that was probably a blessing right now as his stomach lurched again.

He managed to get to the machine shop but looked with uncertainty at the job at hand. His concentration was virtually nil at the moment, what with all these horrible distractions and so he just stood there, looking very lost and alone.

[ooc: Sorry for delay! Was waiting to tie up loose ends from the breakfast thread.]

There. Orange coveralls, check. Lost expression, check. Slightly greenish skin, probably also check with the commotion about the crow cages still going on outside the door. Sadly, all of it added up to a new arrival. Despite the good chance that this was the person he'd communicated with on the board, the killer orange made Armand approach with caution ( ... )

Startled, 11-12 turned his eyes to Armand. He looked nothing like a killer, but of course appearances could be deceptive.

He had no idea what the coloured uniforms meant.

"What? Oh... Yes, I'm 11-12," he attempted a smile but it just looked worried.
