I would ask if you are alright, but the fact that it has taken me fifteen minutes to decipher this message answers that question quite plainly.

Regarding your message itself, you're correct, if you're a father that is willing to give up on their children so quickly, they are better off without you. As a father your duty is to be there for your children, regardless of how difficult the situation may be.

It seems as though you allowed yourself to give into despair and self-pity. I believe it could happen to any of us given the situation. But, if you have a child waiting for you back home, you must work all the harder to find a way back to them.
