Day 51 | late morning | Phone Call to All

Mar 27, 2011 18:37

[Elizabeth had only used the device once, and so despite how important she felt this call, her nervousness would be apparent.]

Ah-- hello there. Residents. You see... my name is Elizabeth Swann.

It has been gathered, and confirmed that there are, indeed, some sort of...things about the town. I don't know what to call them but I surely know ( Read more... )

Thank you for your invitation, Miss Swann. I am certain that some of us will take it. I might encourage some of the younger members of the town to board, as I don't want them to deal with what we call "Smiling Heaven's".

I do hope so. These creatures, the "Smiling Heavens" as you have... oddly called them, seem... malevolent. At least, I do not wish to see them turn so, or potentially harm those about the town.

Has there been any action taken against them thus far?

I did not name them; another resident has dealt with them before it seems, and that appears to be what they are called in his world. But they are dangerous, highly so. If you see one, just run and hide.

Those of us skilled in fighting have attempted to seek and destroy them. Long range weapons seem to do well.

So there have been some attempts to fight them.

Good sir, I know not with whom I speak, but if ranged weapons do well, you can take comfort in knowing we have cannons, powder, and shot aboard the ships. If we can but get people aboard, safely, and lure these "Smiling" creatures to the beach... perhaps we can get rid of a fair few of them for good.

That's awfully kind of you. Giving up your own food and shelter for others...

Not many people would.

I intended originally upon my arrival to assist with the efforts that came from the flooding by bringing the food stores ashore. However, by the time we had brought the first shipment to the beach, the water had receded and there was a half drowned man on the beach in grave need of assistance.

If this is my way to assist the town of Bell Pointe, I wholeheartedly wish to do so.

Particularly since those creatures... I do not like their presence.

Those creatures...you are not the only one.

[They have no Youki. What is it with people and having no Youki lately?]

But still...you are kind, to wish to assist others at the expense of your self. I have known many who would have reacted the opposite.

I wish no harm on a town that has been taken by disaster. So long as I am here, I will offer what I can graciously as the town has been so kind as to offer me a home.

Many, you say? Is this fair place troubled by certain persons?

Good Madame, thank you. Do you know much more about these Smiles? Far more the devil's creatures, I should say.

I have been informed that, should they allowed to be, they are like bombs. Their blood is also particularly dangerous. They are also hard to locate due to being invisible.

... like bombs you say?

Good God in heaven. What makes their blood so dangerous? Or is it that which allows them to be so.... combustive?

I have heard about this invisibility, and it worries me. Though this is... troublesome.
