And he wasn't weak. He huffed a bit remembering the emails about how it was dangerous. Most likely the others just didn't want him outside or in their way, right? Still! He could help.
He still had his magic, anyway, if things go awry. Best if he didn't have to use it, though. It didn't matter if the people here weren't from Cocoon or Gran Pulse, so they didn't discriminate against l'Cie... he just didn't want to be different. It had been a long time since someone not l'Cie had looked at him like he was a normal teenage boy.
So he flopped down on the hospital steps, chin in his hands, feeling the comfortable weight of his boomerang in his pouch, and waited.

She was both surprised and impressed to see Hope already at the location, sitting on the stairs. Lightning was probably the only person here who knew what the boy was truly capable of. It also went the other way; that he was the only one she really trusted (at least, for now), and was glad to know he'd be coming along-- he was smart, reliable, and very formidable with his arsenal of magic. It didn't mean that she wasn't still worried for his well-being, though. Especially seeing as the enemies they were to face were said to be extremely dangerous.
Approaching the stairs, Lightning wordlessly sat next to Hope on a lower step, resting her forearm on her knee.
"Didn't know you'd be joining the hunting party."

"Of course I'm joining. Got to help you somehow, right?"

In his head, the Scarab clicked. It was anxious, almost.
"It'll be fine," he murmured. Jaime sincerely hoped it would be, anyway: this would be the first time he'd transformed since arriving in this town, and he wasn't sure whether the Scarab had managed to patch itself up or not. Neither of them were, really.
He reasoned that he wouldn't be alone. At least there were others here, others who could also fight, in case he wasn't as much help as he thought. They'd be fine.
But would HE be fine...?
Jaime finally reached the stairs and gave Lightning and Hope a small wave. (He recognized Hope. At least there was a familiar face.) "Is this everybody?"

After returning his wave with a nod of acknowledgment, Lightning straightened her posture. Before she could add anything else, however, the hospital doors behind them had opened abruptly. She wordlessly looked over her shoulder to assess their final arrival, and after hearing him speak, assumed him to be the "A. Wesker" who sent out the email.

When Wesker emerged, Jaime turned to face him.
"That's us," Jaime answered. "And you must be Mr. Wesker, right?"
