Man, the water level was getting high. It hadn't been that bad when he had been here yesterday, but then... he hadn't expected this many people to want to check out the lighthouse as well. It was probably something to do that would allow people to feel a little useful.
At least, that's the way it was for him.]

Nothing. Truly, she gave them credit for being brave, but part of Clare had not forgotten the last group that had gone out for the missing people. She hoped this would be different. Her eyes caught sight of Hope near the cliff; she couldn't help it, the protective, almost older sister urge had manifested.]
Careful, Hope. Please stay close.

Okay. I'll be okay, Clare.
[But he remembers the last time, too-- and honestly? It was because of that memory that he had asked if people wanted to come along rather than just investigating the lighthouse himself. He didn't want to run into the redhead again.]

Or so it seems. Rigid posture. She's worried about the others and hoping this won't be a repeat like before. She can't help it with how she hovers around him, too.]
He's from your world, yes? [She's only vaguely seen Snow.]

Well, at least some of them would be professionals.
To count himself as prepared, Chris had brought along what weaponry he'd had on him when he'd shown up here. His combat equipment, including machete knife, bullet-proof vest, ammunition, radio, and other various equipment- and his guns. A trusty handgun, standard issue, and an M3, a shotgun strapped to his back that you didn't want to mess with. He also had one, lone grenade on his belt- but he doubted he would need to make use of that today. ]

Not even the fact that after what felt like an endless trek through sickening water the first person he had the pleasure of seeing was a Redfield.
No.
He would stand proud. He had to. He couldn't allow anyone, let alone a Redfield, see his disappointment.
So, Alfred snorted and haughtily strode his way to higher ground, narrowing his eyes and never taking them off of Chris for a second. Until he tripped on a few rocks. A minor misstep, he'd meant to do that. Poise, Alfred.
Regaining his posture, he stuck his nose as high into the air as it could go and huffed.]
I see the grunt work is sorted out for us, then.

And it's good to know that we have monster fodder if anything unpleasant happens to show up.

We're still talking about you, I see.

At least he'd be able to meet people instead of waiting for mass phone calls while watching his house slowly flood.*

Oh wait, no, it's just Dawn riding on Empoleon. She has a urgent look of her face, shouting and waving at someone near the lighthouse. It's not until she gets closer that anyone can make out who she's calling for and what's got her so worried. ]
Mr. Alfred! The roof collapsed! What do I do?
[ Say hello to Dawn! She's a hanger-on! ]

Dawn?
[Alfred recognised who it was before he fully registered what she was saying. In fact, he took quite some time to fully register what the commotion was about.
When it finally did, his face dropped. That could be a setback, certainly.]
It what?! What do you mean it collapsed?!

[ The story comes in a frantic rush, with a lot of arm waving about as if to emphasize the story of the collapsing roof, as she hops from Empoleon's back to the base of the lighthouse. Empoleon lumbers up behind her, dripping water. ]

But Garcian was going, and ever since Travis had come to town, he seemed weird. If the assassin started to show cracks, Dan would take advantage of them.
He arrived almost on time, if he hadn't been trudging through the water at his own, leisurely pace. He stood by Garcian, just observing the others, waiting to see if the man wanted to say anything.]

He had taken to the roofs to travel, not really interested in slogging through mud and water, though it was sort of risky what with the slippery tiles. Much quicker though, so he was trudging towards Garcian and Dan soon enough, albeit a little late since he made the decision to join at the last minute.]

[Calm and cool as ever, save for the fact that he's idly fiddling with the Vision Ring on his figure, almost in some kind of apprehension. Again.]
