It was a good thing Hope was already at the hospital that day, having come in with Claire to help out a little during the flu. It was mostly just carrying stuff and trying to make coffee, but at least it was something. He didn't know what to do with illnesses, but didn't want to feel useless with everything going on.

Yet for some reason, he had never expected that people might actually come the hospital being injured rather than ill. So when he heard someone from the front, his curiosity was piqued. Carrying his box of... something, he hadn't asked Dr. Wesker what it was, down the hall opposite of where he was supposed to be heading, he called back, "Coming!"

Ethan followed the voice to a hallway that led to the back. He was surprised to find that its owner was much younger than anyone he expected to be working there. This kid couldn't have been any older than 15!

"Um," Ethan said intelligently, "I'm looking for Wesker. I, uh... I need some help." As if his crudely bandaged hand, disheveled clothing, and overall terrible appearance didn't make that obvious enough.

Hope looked up from where he had been placing the box down on the table and startled slightly. He had figured it was just someone looking for Dr. Wesker because of the flu, but the man looked like he had been injured-- was it from a fight?

"Dr. Wesker's down in the labs right now, but I can help. H-hold on, I can get some bandages." He moved to help the man sit, but then pulled back, hesitant. Still, the gesture to sit should have been conveyed even as he rushed out to grab bandages and towels.

After so many days with the hospital being nothing more than a meeting point, it was a bit startling to all of a sudden have a good number of people actually come in with injuries.

Ethan listened to the kid - or to his body language, rather - and sat. His body sagged into the chair with a weariness that only several days of extreme stress and little sleep can bring, and he sighed - though it was one of frustration rather than relief or fatigue. He needed to get out of here as soon as he could to find a way back home, but in order to do that he had to actually be able to, you know, walk. It was a miracle he'd even made it as far as he had back home, though, with how he'd been limping along.

"You seem a little young to be working in a hospital," he called after the kid, dragging his thoughts back to the present. Honestly? He wasn't sure why he was surprised. Why shouldn't an underaged person be working at a hospital in a place like this? Everything was already weird as fuck, so might as well make it stranger.

He was still about 75% sure that he had actually gone insane.
