Slayer Memories 10 - conclusion

Jun 25, 2008 08:43

Here is the last part of Slayer Memories. We break into what I hope is a balanced third person, though it starts off heavily Dana.

Total word count for the whole piece came out 15,500 - not counting "Debriefing Dana". I hope you've enjoyed!
Complete Fic in memories

Part ten: about 1,600 words )

I love the ending so much. It feels earned and realistic. Thank so much for a wonderful story!
Of all the trauma she’d experienced, nothing was so surreal as Spike nonchalantly, no, confidently, referring to Angel as a source of aid!
Hee! Poor Buffy! I agree, the realisation of Angel and Spike's bond could be pretty traumatic to her. :)

yay! Thank you. Glad the ending felt 'earned' especially. I worried I was rushing things a little...

hee! Yeah, Buffy's gonna have a blood vessel pop when Spike confesses about 'that one time' :)

Oh man what a great ending for the story and these three! If anyone was prepared to deal with Dana it was Spike after a hundred years internship with caring for Dru! Yes Angel helping makes sense too (and a way for HIM to make up for Dru for that matter).

"So we’re gonna just dispense with the round of apologies and accept, yeah? Everyone here is sorry for the part they played, right?” This is so Spike....like how he didn't come out with the I'm sorries to Buffy (for SR) or Wood (for his mom)....this shows he's really done some thinking about his history and human nature along the way ( ... )

Thank you dear! What a pleasure it is to read your comments too!

I know Dana may never be fully well, but I hope that together Spike and Buffy can make her functional.

And thank you for the typo catch - darn spellcheck and it's inability to know what I MEANT to type. :P

The present was bleak and square and drips and beeps and bandages and restraints. There was no fight, no hunt, no kill, no joy. She despaired.

Dana was brought into hope by a forgiving vampire who wanted to make things right and a sister slayer who would try to help.

Wonderful upbeat ending to a unique story.

Thank you! I do try for the happy endings. It's not completely resolved, but I do hope they can move forward from here as a united front. :) As your icon says.

Wonderful ending to such a great fic. I really liked that Spike was so understanding and so willing to forgive Dana. Also quite liked Buffy's anger for Dana's treatment of Spike, it's nice to see her actively caring about him.

Really loved this fic. I just adore the idea of Dana and Spike interacting, it's a shame there's not more fics like that out there.

Really enjoyed your Dana pov, I think you wrote her very well. I also liked Spike's confidence in Angel, it was good to see. :)

So yeah, to sum up, I loved the fic! :D

Thank you! I was worried about consistency with Dana, but I'm glad it worked out in the end.

Would have liked to have put more Dana and Spike in the story, but it just worked out this length.

So glad you liked! :D

Oh, that's just lovely.

Spike's so good with crazy people. *g*

“I died twice,” Buffy said.
They’d all died, everyone in that room.

I love the death connection between the three, and I really just love how you've handled Dana, her confusion with all the memories, feeling alone and not, wanting to be someone else...just fantastic!

Kudos to you - I enjoyed muchly!
