I am all for you putting your stuff up everywhere: AO3, Dreamwidth, whatever works. And I wouldn't be too concerned with the "not well-written" part, which falls firmly into "we are our own worst critics" territory. Tsk. It was what it was, most of it was terrific, and it's a valuable part of fandom however far you've moved on with your mad skills.
I understand the problems with LJ, but I also cringe at the thought of all those broken links - all the "Buffyverse Top5" things that people will never be able to track down, for instance. If it was up to me, nothing would ever go dark, including and especially, this journal.
Back again! I was just recc'ing an old fic of yours, and I decided to poke around.
In re-reading this post, I wonder if you would like some assistance posting your work to AO3? I see you have an account with no stories posted. I've posted (with permission) the works of Herself_nyc, Anaross, Anna S., and DutchBuffy. I'd be honored to do the same for you.
I created the account and then I chickened out! Who would want to read this old crap? It's SO BAD. Zomg. I wrote most of it /in the browser window/ while doing other things!
But um... er... I suppose I should be good and do the re-posting to AO3. Just the GOOD STUFF tho.
Well...One option is to put the allegedly "bad" stuff up first with really old post dates, so that they are only available to people who go looking for them (aka those that WANT to read that "old crap"*). A sort of time capsule, if you will.
I offer again to assist with this. It might take me awhile, but if it gets up there, I'll feel like a hero.
*Your crap is still shinier than a huge pile of many other writer's most golden prose.

Yeah - I'm here because I'm one of the new Herald editors, so I signed in. But I never come here.
As for your fiction - please do not let it disappear! So much of the good stuff is just vanishing.
