I found a really interesting article on 'camp' (as an adjective) linked in the comments of someone else's journal. I finally put some time aside to read it:

It is isn't it :P

Which is a good part of why I study and make it. Although unless I get a windfall of money to make some of my more ridiculous ideas (several of which would require a great deal of money and a few brilliant robotics programmers), I'll never match up to the ridiculousness of people like Damien Hirst.

I am strongly put off by Ms Sonntag's writing style.

What is "sensibility" in this context, anyway?

Sssh, she can't help it, she's writing to us from the '60s...

"Sensibility" in the context of the first blockquote is... I think it's kinda "mindset" or "aesthetic taste" or "awareness". #6 here.
