You might be able to open your camera up and clean out the sand. What model is it?

Nope, I asked some camera technician and they said I can't do it myself or I'll ruin it. They said I have to send it back to Canon, or just get a new camera... which I wanted to cause I found some good models for a little over a hundred, but they were all Nikons and I want a Canon :<

Hmm. I've never known Canon's to be that expensive (they tend to fluctuate in price around November, with new models and holidays). Maybe you can hold out until then? Or maybe Bobbie knows a guy.
